Happy Return: Final House Check
We revisited a home completed last year for a final snag check. Ensuring our clients are happy and settled, it was wonderful to see the space thriving again.
Snagging underway at our Victorian house extension in Sandymount. A large rooflight now bridges old and new, flooding the interior with natural daylight.
Making light work of erecting a steel frame, our contractor is using a nifty remote-controlled 'spider crane' which crawls through tight spaces to erect large steel beams
Excited to be moving on to the next stages with the transformation of an old semi-detached house in Monkstown which will be sensitively transformed. More to come.

Excited to be starting construction on this rebuild of a South Dublin house. Extending to front, side, rear, and upward, the transformed home will be a bright and cheerful family home for life.

We’ve loved working on this extension and refurbishment project in Ranelagh, but are thrilled that it has reached Practical Completion and is ready for our client to move in.
Our new build in Mount Merrion has achieved an A1 Building Energy Rating, with an energy use of less than 5% of the house it replaces (17.84 kWh/m2/yr,). The carbon emissions are 1.52kgCO2 /m²/yr, less than 2% of the original bungalow.
Aluminium window and doors are delivered to site. Large, glazed sliders allow the large open plan living spaces to spill out to the sunny patio and garden.

Detached New build completed
We’re delighted to have completed a bespoke detached new build house in South Dublin. This replacement dwelling has a high A2 BER (Building Energy Rating) making it practical as well as beautiful.
We're excited to start design work on this fabulous period home in Rathgar. The aim is to create large, open plan living spaces with plenty of natural light, despite the Northern orientation.

Sculptural Architectural Staircase
The house is organised around a scultpural staircase leading from the entrance to the main living spaces. White painted plaster balustrades continue the curves of the vaulted ceiling overhead.
Design work under way to transform the living accomodation in a large Protected Structure in Rathgar.
The kitchen, dining and living accomodoation will be sensitively reorganised for easier family living, and to create a bright and cheerful interior opening onto a beautiful garden.

Malahide transformation completed
Our clients have moved in and are enjoying their reconfigured and extended home in Malahide. Located in an Architectural Conservation Area, careful and considerate design choices were required to create this modern family home.
As architects, we love being invited back to see our projects after clients have moved in. Four years later and the clients are still as delighted as ever. It is great to see how clients have added so much of their personality this extension and refurbishment project completed in 2019.
Reconstruction of a house in Glenagaeary is well underway. The new brick facade has reached roof level and a new asymmetric roof profile is taking shape. Glazing to this sunny, Southern elevation is deeply recessed to provide shading. See more of the project here...
A reconfiguration project is completed in Blackrock. The detached bungalow is reimagined and refurbished into a modern, energy efficient family home. External insulation with dark timber cladding and new modern glazed screens transform this 1970s house. See more of the project here...
The entrance facade has been rebuilt as a series of French doors opening onto a new sunny terrace. The roof over the main living has been opened up so that the ceiling follows the roof slops to create a dramatic taller living space.
We returned to this house rebuild in Clonskeagh to take some new photos of the project in the beautiful garden setting. Completed in 2018, the original detached house was rebuilt to create a timeless home with large open plan living spaces. See more of the project here...
The external shell of a new A2-rated house in Mount Merrion is nearing completion. A triple-gabled, South-facing brick elevation overlooks a terraced back garden. Internal fitout well underway with smooth, curved vaulted ceilings throughout the house internally.
Renovation and extension in Blackrock nearing completion
We love seeing the architecture unveiled, as scaffolding comes down on this house reconstuction, revealing sculptural white plastered finishes and brickwork piers. A deep canopy roof on the South-facing, garden elevation shades the interior. Planting going in shortly.
Construction beginning on renovation and extension of an old house in Glenageary, Dublin. It's always exciting to see architectural drawings transform into reality.
A three-storey house is reorganised around a new staircase in a completely new position. Moving it to a South-facing gable wall allowed for the insertion of a very tall window running from top to bottom which allows sunlight to stream into all the circulation spaces of the house.
Demolition and the new structural shell of our project on a Tudor-style house completed.With the construction of new brick piers and screens, the outlines of the interior spaces take shape ahead of installation of floor-to-ceiling glazing.
Planning permission granted for works to a 1930s Tudor-style house and to renovate and transform it into a fully accessible home with a new passenger lift. Extensions at ground floor level are organised around two courtyards to make the most of a Northern rear orientation.
